Eckankar in Washington, officially known as the Washington Satsang Society, is a Chartered Affiliate of Eckankar—their parent organization. Eckankar is the path of spiritual freedom, and exists to serve Soul on Its journey home to God.
The Washington Satsang Society was looking for a website redesign that would update the look and feel of their current website and be a tool for them to communicate to ECK members and those exploring Eckankar as a spiritual path.
The new website needed to be mobile-friendly, showcase the type of activities they offered, including a calendar of events, accept online donations, and include a Members Area where ECK members could log in and view restricted content and events.

We set up the website to make it easy for visitors to learn about Eckankar, the activities offered, and find events in their area. We included a “Members Area” where ECK members could log in and find additional information and events. We also set up a Donation section where visitors could donate online to specific funds.

A Tool to Communicate
To make it easier to manage events—and allow multiple people to add events—the calendar is set up to import from Meetup and Google Calendars. With membership functionality, we can restrict or present events and other content based on who’s viewing the page.
We implemented a category and tag strategy so events would automatically show on relevant calendars and activity pages—making it easier for visitors to find events that interest them.
